Informed-Health.net
The Science of Good Health

About Us

Informed-Health.net is an online magazine that makes scientific medical information available to the public. There is a wealth of knowledge in the academic literature (the medical journals and conference proceedings) – but this information is not always freely available, and the medical jargon used in scientific writing makes this information hard to follow. Our goal is to make this information easy to understand, and available to everyone. We identify the relevant literature (providing links where possible), and “connect the dots” through the science, so that you can be better informed when you see your doctor.

William Soukoreff

Hello. I am Dr. William Soukoreff Ph.D., and I am the founder and editor of Informed-Health.net. I started this web-magazine because I found that there are lots of scientific studies suggesting that many of the traditional or natural “alternative” solutions to health-care problems are effective and have fewer side effects than the modern treatments. What I am talking about is the wisdom that past generations brought to their own health and well-being, and the value of “common sense” solutions to health problems, that are often over-looked today. The medical establishment routinely dismisses these treatments, usually because large pharmaceutical companies are unable to profit from freely-available information, or folk remedies that you can grow in your own back-yard. I started Informed-Health.net to make this information available to everybody. I hope you find the website informative and helpful.

About Me

My name is William Soukoreff. I am a scientist – I am not a medical doctor. (I have a Ph.D. degree, not an M.D.) My expertise lies in the areas of human-computer interface design, psychology, and kinesiology, although I have dabbled in medical informatics and biology. I know how medical research is performed, published, and financed. If you type my name in Google Scholar you’ll find some of my publications.
